Texas Trip - Summer 2007


Last year we made our first trip to Texas and vowed that we would not repeat the trip again. A year later we made the trek again. Here is a trip log.

June 2oth (Wed)
Departed Folsom.
Drove approximately 10 hours to Kingman, AZ.
Highlight, enjoyed a neopolitan shake from In-n-Out Burgers. It was really good.

June 21st (Thur)
Departed Kingman, AZ.
Drove approximately 15 hours to Amarillo, TX.
Picked up Mother in Joesph City. Had logistical problems and delayed our good start. Set us back a few hours. As a result, arrived late in Amarillo.
Highlight: Enjoyed the afternoon thunderstorms in New Mexico (near Tucumcari). It was refreshing and cool.

June 22nd (Fri)
Departed Amarillo, TX.
Drove approximately 6 hours to Fort Worth, TX.
Highlight: The Trip was over for a few days.

June 23rd (Sat)
Went to Dallas to see Courtney and Nate's Wedding.
Nice lunch at the Gaylord Texan Resort.

June 24th & 25th (Sun & Mon)
Relaxed and hung out...yada...yada.

June 26th (Tues)
Departed Forth Worth, TX.
Drove 12 hours to Denver, CO.
Highlight: Enjoyed the scenary of Southern Colorado. Really nice.
Visited with Jaclyn & Family.

June 27th (Wed)
Departed Denver, CO.
Drove 12 hours to St. George, UT.
Highlight: The Rockies are majestic.

June 28th & 29th (Thurs & Fri)
Relaxed and enjoyed St. George. Very HOT!

June 30th (Sat)
Departed St. George, UT for Pioche, NV.
Nice two hour drive.

July 1st (Sun)
Departed Pioche, NV.
Drove 9 hours to Folsom, CA.
